Our fruit trees are in peak bloom and snow is falling.
I’m not going to draw any conclusions about the climate based on what’s happening outside my window (the weather and the climate are not one and the same) but I do see a striking parallel with my inner state.
All manner of new life wants to burst from my heart out into the world after two years of seclusion through the pandemic, and yet it snows still.
I am having trouble navigating this crazy mixed-up energy, the turbulence that comes with the transition between seasons. I am spaced out when I should be getting work done, awake and productive when I would be better served by rest.
Today, the more-than-human-world seems to be saying “it’s okay” as we navigate the transitions of our lives. This crazy mixed-up energy, too, is natural.
And while snow in the springtime may not bode well for our future harvest, it is so damn beautiful right here, right now.
